Page of Swords

Continue from the Magician Reversed note. What about Putonghua then? The Tarot replied with Page of Swords. I take it signifies intellectual discovery and inspirations. Often the Page of Swords involves making a choice as well. In this case it seems that I have to decide whether I should take the Putonghua lesson or not. In another situation I picked this Page of Swords as well when I was pondering what I should do with the Master degree offered by the Imperial College. I cannot tell right now what life changes will the Putonghua lesson and my Master degree from Imperial College provide me with but I take that it cannot be bad, or why would I be asked by Tarot to make a decision on the first hand?

I have also seen this card pop up in outcome positions from Celtic spread when the questions was about whether to take some particular courses or not.

The Magician Reversed

Based on another philosophical hypothesis of mine that things motivated with purely good hearts could not result in bad outcomes, I took it that my mom's idea of learning a foreign language would be good. But which foreign language should I take? I approached Tarot and asked about Spanish and I received this reply. I take that it means weak will and failure in projects due to poor planning.
Since I have not taken any Spanish course after doing this Tarot reading I cannot very firmly say that this Tarot reading must be correct but yet I believe it to be so. As a Hong Konger, it may not be as easy for us to study other Latin languages as our European counterparts considering the fact that the construct of our native language is totally different from Latin laugnages. I can visualize that I will need to devote a large amount of time in learning Spanish when compare to other languages like Japanese or Mandarin and that I would lack the determination to the plan till the very end.

Four of Cups Reversed

As discussed in my last note Three of Cups Reversed, it appeared that the only way I could get the Kaplan notes is through online bidding yet I was reluctant to do so. I have asked Tarot whether it was a good idea to purchase the notes online and I was replied with Four of Cups Reversed. This is a card that I encounter it very often and I would give more examples on this card in future. To me, this card signifies that an offer is coming our way as long as we go out and get it.

Three of Cups Reversed

This is another card which I could not easily prove its effect but that I believe it to be true. At one time I was looking for Kaplan notes for my CFA II exam but it seemed that the only place where I could purchase the notes was on a online bidding site. I was reluctant to do any kind of online shopping so I approached Tarot and asked whether I could buy my Kaplan notes somewhere else. The Tarot replied with a Three of Cups Reversed, which I take it as turning abundance into nothing, and that successes could vanish.

Seven of Cups Reversed

In many cases it is not easy to actually experiment on a situation and see whether the previous Tarot readings are correct. For instance, what about those previously available options in life which I have given up according to what Tarot has suggested? There are no way for me to tell whether Tarot are accurate in these circumstances. But then by feelings and observations from the peripheral, I would believe that Tarot is true even in these circumstances.
In the following notes I may also write on Tarot cards which their meanings may not be easily observed from real life events but that I still believe them to be true. And the first card I would write about is the Seven of Cups Reversed. Once I have been trying to rectify my birth charts as I determined that the birth time my Mom told me was not accurate. But then even after I have 'rectified' it, how am I going to know if my rectification was correct? At that moment I approached my Tarot and Tarot replied me with the Seven of Cups Reversed - to me it signifies good determinations.
So I take it my rectification was correct?
In another situation, Seven of Cups Reversed pop up at the Near Future position in a Celtic spread when I was asking about my relationship with a friend of mine. The background is that I have been deliberately staying from this friend of mine as there was a little problem of my own that I feel uncomfortable to share with others. However I am aware of the fact that my deliberate staying away from this friend of mine could harm our friendship. Something must be done in near future and I have sort of make up my mind to contact him again and talk to him about everything openly. Seven of Cups Reversed seemed to suggest determination in this case.

Four of Wands

This card is self-explanatory. it represents excitement, surprise and spontaneous thrills. Mentioned in my Ace of Wands Reversed and Queen of Pentacles (II) notes, I was organizing a teenager's group for a local legislator. I suffered from a series of false starts and things only started to go well from the second meeting, and the Four of Wands was the card I have picked when I was asking whether that particular time and date for the meeting would be good. It was the case that the gathering went better than expected with thrilling excitements and every one seems to be willing to share their views.

Knight of Pentacles

This card is about patience, persistance and responsibility. Through another means of divination I have known that I will be offered a Master degree in Britain and I will prosper with it, but yet I did not ask specifically which Master degree in which University the previous divination was talking about. At one point in my application, I told myself that the London School of Economics and Social Science (LSE) would have to be it, and I wonder, if that's the case, what's the point for me to further apply for other Master degrees in other Universities? And yet at this point, the Tarot reminded me with the Knight of Pentacles of patience, persistance and responsibility. Even assuming that LSE is going to accept me no matter what, what harm could be done if I just played safe to apply for degrees in other Universities as well? And further, what if I was wrong?
The final outcome was that I was offered a place by the Imperial College but not by LSE. The lesson of the Knight of Pentalces seemed clear to me.

Queen of Pentacles

Following from the note Page of Cups Reversed, my next question for Tarot was on what I should do with all those JAVASCRIPT, PHP, MYSQL things if I have been expecting too much. And what the Tarot answered was actually immediate - it was a QUEEN OF PENTACLES, which one of the meanings is to quit all kinds of fuzzings and elaborated plans, and simply actually work on the problem in a down-to-earth manner.

Another meaning of Queen of Pentacles is prosperity. As mentioned in the note for Ace of Wands Reversed, I have been working on a teenager's group for a local legislator but yet I suffered setback. At one point of the process, I have approached Tarot and I have received this card. To me, it suggested that the final prosperity of the group will come though I have to wait. Just keep on doing your part of work (meaning from above) and the outcome will take care of itself. I may have to wait but what will come, will come.

Ace of Wands Reversed

In my experience, this card signifies setbacks and delay in one's endeavors. You can expect false starts and/or deferrals in events. A lack of determination might is probably common in these periods of times. I have been trying to kick start a teenager's group for a local legislator half year ago but then what I faced was the repeated delay in starting the group's first meeting as I just could not locate enough participants for a while. After some months of fuzzing around I was finally able to start the group finally but the first meeting still went astray. It was only from the second meeting then things start to get on track.

Page of Cups Reversed

The first card I will write about is Page of Cups Reversed. This card has a meaning of doing too less and expecting too much for me. Once I asked Tarot whether it is a good idea for me to rush over and learn Javascript, PHP, MYSQL, JQuerry and AJAX all within one month of time. I was expecting to kick start a new web page and these are the essential techniques that I need to master. However it turned out the case that I have given up taking this seriously after just half a month and what I have achieved at the very end is the knowledge of writing a few limited JAVASCRIPT commands - just for fun.
