King of Cups Reversed

King of Cups Reversed appears to suggest corruption and dishonesty. In my last note on Five of Wands Reversed I mentioned how a friend of mine talk in nasty tones which he actually didn't mean any harm such that I felt uncomfortable in sharing my sadness and difficulties with him. Where will I be if I shall allow this situation to last? King of Cups Reversed at the Possible Outcome position suggests that dishonesty (or a lack of sincere communication as I will adapt in this case) will be resulted if I am not doing anything for it.
In another case, when friends around seems to be abandoning me one by one, I have a special concern over those friends who are staying behind with me. In a Celtic spread that I did on the relationship between me and another close friend of mine the King of Cups Reversed showed up at the Hope and Fear position demonstrating that I fear the possible deterioration of my close relationships with others.

Five of Wands Reversed

Five of Wands Reversed suggests rules for competition abandoned, battles are taking on a nastier tone. I have briefly mentioned in my note for Seven of Cups Reversed that there is a friend I find it hard to share my thoughts with. The problem was that I find him getting nastier than usual. He didn't mean any harm but it has definitely weakened my confidence in myself. In that Celtic spread reading, Five of Wands Reversed showed up at the Hope and Fear position pointing the short circuit in our relationship and that it is time for me to make up my mind (Seven of Cups Reversed!) to do something with this problem. Fix it and my relationship with this close friend of mine will become cool again. (Eight of Wands)

Seven of Pentacles Reversed

In my limited experience, Seven of Pentacles Reversed suggests that meaningful work is simply not available, there is a trapped feeling in the person. Seven of Pentacles Reversed showed up at the Near Future position in a Celtic spread I did for the relationship between a close friend of mine and myself. Our relationship reached a low and it seemed to me that there are nothing I could do except not to mess him off, id est to say not to find him at all. But isn't this a vicious circle? How am I suppose to mend anything if I am not allowed to go and mend anything? The Seven of Pentacles Reversed at this near future position suggests very well the dilemma that I am facing. (Extra note: For this particular situation I looked at the Moon Reversed showed up at the Self position and Knight of Wands showed up at the Hope and Fear position. They could be valuable for me to come up with some kind of solution to the trouble I am facing. If I am not gonna change anything, the outcome would probably be the loss of a friend as indicated by Ace of Cups Reversed at the outcome position.)

The Chariot

The Chariot clearly suggests success, often on the level of the materialistic world. The Chariot showed up on my friend's reading on whether Imperial College would accept him or not (and he did receive an offer afterwards, after being rejected by Oxford, Cambridge and two other Universities when the Imperial College remained as his last hope). The Chariot showed up at the Outcome position of a Celtic spread that I've done for my friends on the question whether she could recover from a certain illness. The Chariot showed up at the Basis position of two of my own Celtic spreads on whether I should be a fortune teller or not and whether learning occult science could lead me to victory and profits in speculations. The Chariot at this position seems to suggest that I have a good foundation for my knowledge in occult science in both cases.

The Hanged Man Reversed

The Hanged Man Reversed suggests our inability to get free from social pressure. We were doing what others expected us to do rather than listening to our inner selves, or, we simply deny it.
Continue from the Lovers and Lovers Reversed note, in the two Celtic spread on speculations, the Hanged Man Reversed showed up in the Hope and Fear position on my first spread and then on the Cross position on my second spread. To me, on my first spread on whether my study on occult science could bring me victory and profit on the stock market, Hanged Man Reversed on the Hope and Fear position seems to suggest my fear of social pressure as it is far from common to carry out speculations with divination tools. How am I going to explain it to others? Am I going to lose my friends on this? This Hanged Man Reversed showed up at the Cross position over a Lovers Reversed center in my second spread on whether I should simply do speculation through ordinary analysis or not. Why did I make the choice of Lovers Reversed? Is that due to the social pressure from the Hanged Man Reversed?

The Lovers Reversed

Continuing from the entry "The Lovers", the Lovers Reversed seemed to suggested the opposite of weaknesses and blocks. The second Celtic spread I lay out immediately after I asked about the prospect of applying occult science to speculations, I asked about whether I should do it the ordinary way by reading newspapers, magazines and annual reports and the card at the Center was the Lovers Reversed. What a contrast to my first reading! As the Lovers suggests choice, I guess that in this case the Lovers Reversed suggests a weaker choice being made.
Sure enough it is not strange for us to find implications from the Lovers Reversed on more simple matters of love. In one case my friend asked me whether a girl she knew could be his Lover or not and the card showed up was the Lovers Reversed. The card seems self-explanatory in this case.

The Lovers

There are cards where its meaning is not clear to me and that only time could tell whether my explanation is right or not. But then if I have to wait for enough evidences on the accuracy of my interpretations of card meanings then this blog should not have existed at all. My aim for this site is to recall myself with experiences on various Tarot cards during my learning process and also to serve as an insight provider to interested friends of mine. And I believe that unfinished contemplation and conjectures could serve as good lessons to divination learners too.
One of these cards is the Lovers. Literally, the Lovers signifies love and relationship (which is straight forward) and also the matter of choice.
A little background here that I have to state is that I learned from a teacher of mine that with faith it is possible for one to use divination methods for speculating in stock market. He himself is rich and I believe in his wisdom and integrity. Intuitively I believe that my study of occult science would render me to victory and profit in the stock market as well. This background will be useful for my explanations of meanings of a number of cards in a couple of entries coming forward.
Once I have lay out a Celtic spread on the question whether my study on occult science could lead me to victory and profit in the stock market or not? The Lovers showed up in the Center position, crossed by Queen of Wands Reversed. As I mentioned, literally the Lovers suggest a matter of choice, in this particular case when I am implicitly comparing this divination approach to other fundamental approaches in the stock market, I believe that in this case the Lovers at the center signifies that I have made the right choice on this matter. It is worthwhile to note that Queen of Cups and Ace of Pentacles showed up in the Possible Outcome and Outcome positions respectively.

Seven of Wands

Seven of Wands suggests people committed to fighting following earlier experiences of winning, the need to show others that they are still alive and the fire of the wands still run through them. I have always been a person who wishes to show up in the spot light so that others could know of my amazing abilities. I have close allies on my road to these various achievements and specifically I have made a Celtic spread to one of my close allies and I look at the relationship between us. Seven of Wands showed up at the Basis position aptly describing the way our relationship was built up at the beginning.

Queen of Pentacles Reversed

Queen of Pentacles Reversed suggests self doubt, possible cut off from the connection of nature due to nervousness and confusion as in the case of King of Pentacles Reversed. Queen of Pentacles Reversed implicitly suggests that we have to build up confidence in ourselves. On the Celtic spread I did for myself on whether I should consider stock operator as my career or not, Queen of Pentacles Reversed showed up at the Self position suggests that I would always be fearful of my decisions made in the market. This is an apt description to the qualities that I need to be successful in the market.

The Hermit Reversed

Depending on context, the Hermit Reversed suggests withdrawal form society and an overwhelming fear of other people, or that we simply need to get involved with people in the society again. I have seen the Hermit Reversed pop up in the Self or the Hope & Fear position in the Celtic cross a number of times. In one particular case, the Hermit Reversed showed up at my Hope & Fear position for my question whether I should consider stock operator my career or not. The Hermit Reversed at this position aptly describes that I would most probably have an overwhelming fear of other people in the market and I would withdraw to my world for making decisions alone. In another situation, the Hermit Reversed popped up at the Self position at a Celtic spread that I was doing for my friend on his school life in the coming year. This friend of mine has a strong fear of not being able to make new friends in the new academic year as he would be a new comer to the course when other student from the same course would have known each other for years.

Eight of Wands

Eight of Wands suggests swift movement and situations that comes to satisfactory ends. This card seems to relate to human relationships often. In one situation I lay out a Celtic spread for a relationship with a friend of mine and Eight of Wands showed up at the Outcome position. Also, continuing from my story in the note for the High Priestess Reversed and Seven of Swords Reversed, Eight of Wands actually showed up in the Recent Past position for the spread I do for my first friend. That seemed to suggest that happy moments that I shared with that friend of mine is fading into memory if I am not trying to change something for the relationship.

The High Priestess Reversed

High Priestess Reversed suggests a turn to passion and involvement with life and people, though the pendulum could swing to far and lead to a loss of understanding of the inner selves. Continuing the story from my last note on Seven of Swords Reversed, on my first reading, the Seven of Swords Reversed was crossed by the High Priestess Reversed and the reality is that I have been ultimately upset by this friendship. I treat my friend as my equal and was turned down brutally and this definitely make me feel lost for quite a while. And quite the contrary in my second reading, the High Priestess Reversed instead lay at the Center position giving an extra overtone to my problem with my first friend, and this loss of understanding of myself led me into the act of seeking help from other friends, and this has given rise to the crossing Seven of Swords Reversed in my second reading.

Seven of Swords Reversed

Depending on context, Seven of Swords Reversed suggests communication, seeking for advice or help from friends, when independence is required, Seven of Swords Reversed could suggest an over-dependence on others. In one situation when I was question my relationship with a close friend of mine with a Celtic spread, the Seven of Swords Reversed showed up at the Center position signifying my over-reliance on my friend. In reality the problem that lies between our relationship is that I have been relying on him too often and this has resulted in subsequent sadness. At the same time, on another Celtic spread when I was questioning my relationship with another close friend, Seven of Swords Reversed crossed The High Priestess Reversed at the Center and this seem to suggest that I have been trying to look out for help from friends around at this lonely position.

King of Pentacles

King of Pentacles suggests achievement, successful businesses. King of Pentacles showed up in the outcome position for the Celtic spread of my entrepreneurial attempt and this reading concur with my other divination readings. (I shall update this note after my entrepreneurial attempt is completed.) In another situation I saw King of Pentacles showed up in the Basis position of a Celtic spread. The question was whether querent should choose a particular course in University, and from what I know about the querent's history, she has a perfect background in that subject and she would be in great advantage in studying the course over others.

King of Pentacles Reversed

King of Pentacles Reversed suggests failure and mediocrity, connection with nature disturbed. Following the Celtic Spread I mentioned in my last note where Eight of Pentacles showed up at the Center position, it was crossed by a King of Pentacles Reversed suggested some kind of blockades. The reality is that I was at a hiatus on my study for Tarot. Till not long ago I have been doing Tarot with single card reading only, but then this approach appeared to be flawed as there are cards were its meanings can only be refined from other evidences either from the spread or querent's reality. That was the problem I have been facing with and the Celtic spread was among my first few serious spreads I have done for myself. The cross card seems adequately signifies the sense of failure and the blockade to my connection with nature - a lack of new insights to the improvement of my Tarot skills.

Eight of Pentacles

Eight of Pentacles in general suggest training of skills. This is a card less about the final outcome but the actual process of our work. In a Celtic Spread for my question on whether I should be a fortune teller or not I picked up this card at the Center position. This suggests that I have been building up a skills steadily and my reading develops from this Eight of Pentacles.

Nine of Pentacles

Nine of Pentacles suggest diligence and success with the emphasis of one's own effort. In contrast to Nine of Pentacles Reversed, querent has a self-awareness of one's need and are able to make an effort to achieve what he or she wants. I was answering a friend's question on whether he could pass one of his exam or not. He told me that he has been studying the exam for some time. With the Nine of Pentacles showing up I told him that his exam result will be fine if he simply keep up his effort that way. Months later I was told that he passed the exam.

Nine of Pentacles Reversed

Nine of Pentacles Reversed suggests lack of diligence and discipline and the failure that comes from it. Projects are abandoned and we fail to channel our energy into useful purposes. Lack of self-awareness leads to faithlessness and irresponsibility. Nine of Pentacles Reversed showed up on the Possible Outcome position on the question concerning my entrepreneurial attempt. I was stuck at a position where I have to wait for the work from my partner, he was making little progress and it was tempting for me to simply abandon the project as there was nothing I could do. But is that really the case? To a certain extent the impression arises from my lack of awareness of what I could do in the situation.

Eight of Pentacles Reversed

Eight of Pentacles Reversed suggests impatience and other outcomes that are resulted from this, including frustrations and unfulfilling ambitions. The card suggests that we are paying most of our attentions on success only and neglected the work we need that brings to it. In a Celtic spread when I asked for the outcome of my entrepreneurial attempt, the Eight of Pentacles Reversed showed up on the Hope and Fear position. In my particular situation there was honestly nothing I could do but wait, there was nothing else I could possibly contemplate on but to dream of the picture of success! And for that I definitely became impatient and this resulted in further frustrations as my ambition was unfulfilled by that time.

Five of Swords

This card signifies losses. Five of Swords appeared in the recent past of a Celtic Spread when my question was whether it is a cool idea for me to consider stock operator as my "career" or not. The fourth position of the "recent past" in Celtic Spread signifies effects or past episodes that are fading away in contrast to the Basis. I have lost a sum of money two years ago and that was a "loss" in the most outright sense! Definitely the effect on me has been fading away right now and the Five of Swords in the Celtic Spread help me mark an end to a lesson in my life for being a successful stock operator by the end of the day.

King of Swords

Swords represents intelligence. It appears to me that this card suggests us to think twice before we act. I have asked Tarot whether it's a good choice for me to apply for Oxford and I picked up a King of Sword. I didn't take this card too seriously at that time but anyway I did not apply for it. As I look back to this issue I don't think it will be likely for me to obtain an offer from the school (though I honestly cannot rule out any possibility for this, destiny is an amazing thing). In three other occasions I asked for Tarot whether I should push forward some work of mine and I picked the King of Swords again. In two of these situations as I look backwards I realize that my act would result in dismal failure due to prematurity. In another situation I push it forward nonetheless and I simply could not receive any reply following my action.
